Wisps of Wool Retreat is steeped in rich stories, where every corner carries the spirit of the past. A contemporary home built to honour the soul of an old shearing shed, now quiet. It's been a haven where our family has gathered, where we honour the ancient Wolithiga Country on which the house stands, and where countless guests have found rest and connection amidst the natural beauty of the Australian bush and the River Murray.

The clip is done,
the shears laid low,
The echoes fade where
blades did go.
All that lingers,
soft and light,
Are woolly wisps in
the fading light.
They dance with dust in
the golden air,
Caught in sunbeams’
tender glare.
Through slatted doors,
Cicadas hum,
A hush descends as
twilight comes.
The shed now still,
The tally their best,
Now bid their weary
hands to rest.
In day’s warm glow,
The silence sings...
